A suggestion was made to have an Egyptian society dedicated to the pelvis and hip surgeries. The founders met in Alexandria, and they authorised Prof. Hazem Abdelazeem to carry on the authorization process.

The Egyptian Pelvis and Hip Society (EPHS) establishment certificate was issued on 26th October 2011, and the first board of directors was appointed. The board elected Prof. Hazem abdelazeem as the first president of the society.
